Shop H&M Home!

My apologies, I must have missed the memo last month: Did you know H&M now sells home goods?! Apparently they’ve had a home line in Europe for some time, but it was just last month that it launched here in the U.S., though it’s only available online (for now anyway).

While I have a love-hate relationship with H&M clothing (I haven’t done much shopping there in a few years), it is nice to have another option for affordable decor, especially for someone like me whose style is still evolving (and so a throw pillow purchase that turns out to be less than perfect 6 months down the road doesn’t hurt as bad when it was only $3.95).

Here are my top five picks from the line for fall:

Fashion-A-Day Challenge: Day 18

Day18The Outfit
Graphic top: Dillard’s
Blazer: H&M
Black jeans: Else, Macy’s
Wedges: Target

Favorite Part
I don’t have a favorite piece (I like it all!), but I love how this outfit makes my legs look super long and skinny!

Overall
LOVE. There’s a girl at work that pulls off blazers all the time, and I’ve just never really embraced them—until now. (That said, I recommend spending more than $24.99 on one; this one proved just a little too tight and uncomfortable over time.) And I’ve owned this graphic top for years and never really knew how to wear it, but now I feel like I’ve figured it out: Break up the pattern, pair it with neutrals and go simple with the accessories. But let’s address what’s really important here—when is Dillard’s coming to Chicago?!

Fashion-A-Day Challenge: Day 17

Day17The Outfit
Grey tank: Loft
White tank: H&M
Cardigan: Ann Taylor Outlet
Black pants: Mossimo, Target
Flats: Tory Burch
Necklace: Francesca’s

Favorite Part
The statement necklace. It’s not often I incorporate a bit of punk rock in the wardrobe.

Overall
It could use some color. I wish I’d worn a hot pink tank underneath. Or mint would work too. This outfit makes me think of the adult version of a cavewoman costume my mom made when I was little. I’m just missing the Bam-Bam ponytail : )

Fashion-A-Day Challenge: Day 11

Day11The Outfit
Paisley blouse: Gap Outlet
Black tank: H&M
Black jeans: Else, Macy’s
Flats: Old Navy

Favorite Part
The cheetah-print flats. I actually need to buy another pair because these are cheapy ones from Old Navy, and they’re getting worn out. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to work them into my wardrobe, but now that I know I can wear them with a lot, I’d be willing to make a greater investment.

Overall
I like this outfit—it’s easy and comfortable, but looks pulled together. It transitions well from day to night.

Fashion-A-Day Challenge: Day 8

Day8The Outfit
Royal blue tank: H&M
Blazer: Calvin Klein, Macy’s
Black jeans: Else, Macy’s
Suede wedges: Target

Favorite Part
That Calvin Klein jacket. It was on crazy sale at Macy’s last season, and I talked myself into buying it, even though I knew there’s be a high probability I’d never wear it. Hello, fashion challenge! I haven’t worn this in about a year, but I’m happy it’s back in the rotation. It’s hard to tell, but the styling on this piece is great. Very luxe moto jacket.

Overall
Love it! I wish I could be this edgy and stylish every day. I feel like the only thing I’m missing is a sock bun! (I’m super lazy when it comes to my hair FYI.)

Fashion-A-Day Challenge: Day 5

Day5The Outfit
Gray tank top: Loft
White tank top: H&M
Mustard cardigan: Loft
Scarf: Vintage
Jeans: 7 for All Mankind
Gray boots: Target

Favorite Part
The vintage scarf is from my grandmother. Thanks, Mimi!

Overall
Thanks goodness for casual Fridays! (Well, really I can wear jeans to work every day if I wanted and as long as no one from corporate is in town.) I like this outfit. It’s casual but cute, and I really like the gray/yellow color combo. And those are blue jeans; they just look black in the pic.
