A half dozen hot dogs, 50 mosquito bites and two days with damp clothes makes one eager to get back to real life… That’s not to say I didn’t have a blast on the second annual trip to Donna Jo Campground in Kouts, Ind. (about an hour and 20 minutes away from Chicago). I always jump at the chance to have some fun in the woods with my pals. Now, the rain, on the other hand, I could have done without. But we weren’t exactly roughing it: It was car-camping (where you drive up to a site, set up your tent and that’s about it) at it’s finest. Pete even “splurged” for electricity this year… I think that officially puts us in the glamping (glam + camping) category.
